Your Town

by Brian Miller

In a dust storm or in a dream

there’s a love of mine I’ve seldom seen

Far away across the prairie flat now

How I wish I had a way to that town

cho:

Would that I was back in your town

Oh for one more night with you in your town

Would that I was back in your town

Just a stranger, come looking for

a roof to rest under for a night or more

There’s a quiet about this place

Yes I think I could get used to this

cho

All my troubles they’re far away

I’ll start again if you’ll just let me stay

I’ll cut my hair short love I’ll change my name

and never go out of this town again

cho

Keep it quiet love and go your way

For some other gal your story save

There ain’t no secrets in a town like this

and when rumors fly love you won’t be missed
